Terms
Last updated 14 October 2026.
These terms govern your use of kihina. They are short on purpose. By creating a folder or sending to one, you agree to them.
The short version
- Send and store only things you have the right to, and nothing illegal, abusive or harmful.
- Drops expire and nothing is backed up. A lost password cannot be recovered — by design, not oversight.
- The service is provided as is, may change or stop, and comes with no warranty.
- Abusive folders can be removed.
What kihina is
kihina is a write-only folder. Anyone with your link can add text and files to it without signing up; only you, with your password, can read what lands there. It is a tool for moving small things to your own devices, offered free of charge.
Using kihina
You agree not to use kihina to:
- store, send or distribute anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to store or send;
- infringe anyone’s copyright, privacy or other rights;
- distribute malware, or content that is harassing, abusive, or harmful to others;
- send to a folder whose link was not given to you for that purpose, or try to read, list or interfere with a folder that is not yours;
- attempt to break, overload, probe or circumvent the limits of the service, or to deanonymise its users.
Because sending needs no account, you are responsible for who you give your link to. A link is a write-only address, not a secret.
Content and removal
Whatever you send or store through kihina remains yours, and remains your responsibility. The server cannot read it, which also means it cannot moderate it in advance. Where a folder is reported or found to be used for abuse, or where we are required by law, we may remove a folder and its contents without notice. Beyond that, we do not and cannot access your drops.
No warranty
kihina is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind. In particular, and without limiting that:
- drops are deleted on a timer and are not backed up; do not use kihina as the only copy of anything you cannot lose;
- if you forget your password, your folder and its contents are permanently unrecoverable — no one, including us, can restore access;
- the service may change, be interrupted, or be withdrawn at any time, with or without notice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, kihina and the person or entity operating it will not be liable for any loss of data, loss of access, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Your use is at your own risk.
Changes
These terms may be updated; the date at the top will change when they are. Continuing to use kihina after a change means you accept it.
Governing law and contact
kihina is operated as an independent project, and can be reached at privacy@kihina.com for anything in these terms or to report abuse. These terms are governed by the law of Estonia.
