How it works
Start where you want the files to arrive
- Open kihina on your receiving device and start a quick transfer, or create a password-protected folder for a longer-lasting link.
- Open its send link on your other device. Paste text or choose files there — no sign-in is needed to send.
- Return to your receiving device and press Refresh. Copy your text or download your files.
Two kinds of folder
A quick transfer creates a temporary folder with no password. Keep its tab open; each drop expires after one hour. A password-protected folder can be opened again with its name and password, and its drops expire after seven days. Neither is a backup.
What it's for
You are at your work laptop and need a receipt off your phone to claim it back. So you send it to your work address from your phone — and now your employer holds your personal email address.
Make a kihina folder on the work laptop instead. Open its send link on your phone (or scan its QR code) and upload the receipt. Back on the laptop, press Refresh. Bookmark the send link for next time if you chose a password-protected folder.
To get a payslip from the work laptop onto your phone, make the kihina folder on the phone and send from the laptop. The receiving device is always the one where you opened the folder.
Can someone with my link read what's in the folder?
No. The link only writes. Anyone holding it can add to your folder and nothing else. Reading a password-protected folder requires its name and password. A temporary folder is read from the browser tab that created it.
Content and filenames are encrypted in the sending browser and decrypted in the receiving browser. See the privacy page for details of what the service stores.
